The academic environment of ��ɫ��Ƶ is committed to maintaining the highest standards in education and medical training for our residents and fellows. Our mission is to improve the lives of our patients, their families and our communities, hone the skills of healthcare professionals and conduct important innovative research that expands clinical knowledge.

Our Programs

��ɫ��Ƶ sponsors 68 ACGME accredited residencies and fellowships in a broad range of specialties, as well as the School of Dental Medicine's six residency and fellowship programs, plus a podiatry and a pharmacy program. We are home to nearly 800 residents and fellows.

Our Training Sites

The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Office works with our hospitals, Stony Brook University Hospital, Stony Brook Southampton Hospital and Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital, as well as with our major academic affiliate Northport VA Medical Center and other affiliate hospitals, providing institutional oversight and support as well as clinical research opportunities and comprehensive primary and specialty care experiences to our residents and fellows. We also offer support to our training programs in maintaining accreditation standards to ensure an outstanding educational experience for our trainees.
