As described in the Bylaws of the Faculty Senate, the Senate has nine active standing committees:
- The Executive Committee
- Committee on Academic and Professional Progress
- The Committee on Student Admissions (under renovation)
- The Committee on Appointments, Promotions and Tenure
- The Committee on Curriculum
- The Committee on Resource Allocation & Academic Planning
- The Committee on Student Affairs
- The Faculty Assistance Committee
- Environmental Committee
Other committees will be appointed on an ad hoc basis by the president of the Senate for specific terms.
